Electronic Music Studio Technician
An EMS Technician is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Electronic Music Studio (EMS) at times when the Studio Manager is not on duty. The facility encompasses a live/control room (16 channel Pro Tools HD), four student composition suites, an 8.1 surround sound suite and a 5.1 suite. The post will involve weekday, evening and weekend hours by arrangement (whilst there will be some flexibility in hours the post will involve two (possibly 3) evenings and Sunday working during term time). The EMS is a key departmental resource supporting a broad range of teaching and research in Sonic Arts practice and a diverse range of music production and recording.
The successful applicant will not be expected to engineer/produce sessions or teach software.
