An evening of audio-visual experimentation with Artist Garrett Phelan and Dark Metal duo GOURD at the Linenhall Arts Centre.

The collaboration between artist Garrett Phelan and the metal band GOURD followed a series of communications prompted by artworks from the Arts Council collection. Curator Séamus Nolan was interested by the possibilities a combination of the visceral darkness that GOURD expounds and the aphotic Black Brain Radio by Garrett Phelan - an artwork that broadcasts the relaying of highly specific and often problematic content from online chat rooms and specialist forums on all sorts of subjects such as building wormholes, dust bunnies, temporal realms, sinister coordination etc.
