Programme Assistant (Creative)

Monday, 30 September 2019, 12.00pm

Help Musicians UK has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Programme Assistant, based in the Creative programme in the London office.

A new role in the organisation, you will be supporting a busy and dynamic team within the Programme department who deliver a range of grant-funding programmes and development opportunities for musicians. With an eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent administrative support, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the impactful delivery of all elements of the Creative Programme from planning through to evaluation. This varied role will see a successful candidate administering our grant giving processes on a day to day basis, acting as a first point of contact for enquires to the Creative Programme, supporting communications and beneficiary engagement activity, and proactively working to streamline the operations of the wider team.

A demonstrable track record of administration or working in an office context would be a good basis for success in this role, as well as experience of working in a customer facing role. Some experience of financial processes would be desirable. Knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing emerging musicians will be a key requirement and the ability to use this knowledge to respond informatively and empathetically to enquires from musicians will be essential.

This is an exciting time for the Charity as three teams (Health & Welfare, Creative Programme, and Nations & Regions Development teams) are brought together a combined Programme department. This role will primarily support the day to day operations of the Creative Programme team although there will be considerable opportunities for collaborative working with the Programme Assistant (Health & Welfare) and regional outreach colleagues. The ideal candidate will ideally show versatility in order to cover workloads, and as such it would be desirable for candidates to have some knowledge or interest in health, wellbeing, or and social care practices.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us in achieving the charity’s ambitions to provide more support and reach more people than ever before.
