Musician Educators
Music Generation Kilkenny wishes to recruit and place on a panel suitably qualified and experienced part-time Musician Educators to deliver the following Music Generation Kilkenny programmes:
(A) Small-group performance music education in traditional Irish instruments/singing in after-school community settings
(B) Small-group performance music education in vocal (including choral) or instrumental learning in any music genre in after-school community settings
(C) Large-group performance music education (vocal and/or instrumental) in early years and primary school settings
Early Years Programme
Vocal and/or instrumental Musician Educators with experience relevant to working with introduction to music, under 5s.
Primary School Programme
Vocal/Choral, Classical strings, Ukulele, Percussion
Musician Educators with experience relevant to introductory music making in group contexts, age 5- 12. A knowledge of or training in a pedagogical approach such as Kodaly, Orff, Dalcroze an advantage
(D) Ensemble (instrumental/vocal), band facilitation, mentoring in any genre of music
A community music programme in hubs and post-primary school settings.
Musician Educators will work with children and young people in group/classroom contexts and may work on one or more programmes at any given time. A willingness to deliver programmes in more than one location in County Kilkenny would be desirable.
