The Musicians Union is hiring an Executive Assistant to the General Secretary.

Working closely with GS Naomi Pohl, you will be highly trusted and act with discretion and confidentiality. You will draw on a wealth of experience in managing a demanding diary, workload, and wide-ranging priorities, to ensure work runs as smoothly as possible. The EA will be comfortable being the first point of contact for internal and external communication and will feel confident taking the initiative, responding and representing the GS as required. Broader administrative duties will include the organisation and administration of Executive Committee meetings, staff events, and the Union’s Delegate and Member conferences.

Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of the Musicians’ Union and its role within the music industry and be committed to the overall aims and objectives of the trade union movement.

This post is offered on a full time, permanent basis with hybrid working from home and a base at one of the MU’s offices. It will require travel and overnight stays around the UK on occasion to facilitate the aspects of the role that relate to events and meeting organisation.
