Open Call: RHIZOME

Open Call: RHIZOME

Saturday, 12 February 2022, 12.00pm

Project Arts Centre is now inviting applications for a new pilot green arts programe: RHIZOME.

Rhizome is a programme that aims to highlight the critical role of creativity, optimism, and imagination in the craft of social and environmental change, both locally and internationally.

Developed through the Project Potential Programme, this is an opportunity for an early-career artist of any discipline to work closely with a local community and mentor Maeve Stone, to design a piece of work that encourages new kinds of behaviour in the context of the Climate Emergency.

The project will be developed in partnership with Fatima Groups United, Trinity College Dublin, the National College of Art & Design and the Geary Institute (UCD), and will encourage the intersection of contemporary arts practice, current scientific research and community development.

The primary aim of this project is to shift the messaging around climate change and create space for recovery, exploration and innovation over an extended period of time.
