Thursday, 15 February 2024, 5.30pm

The Arts Council is inviting applications for the Deis Recording and Publication Award. This award focuses on the recording or publication of work, encouraging artistic quality, innovation, and benefits to the traditional arts community.

Open to individuals, groups, bands, and organisations, this grant welcomes proposals from all areas in the traditional arts, including music, song, dance, and oral artforms like storytelling.

Eligible projects may include significant archival recordings and publications, works highlighting music of a specific region or style, projects showcasing the work of exceptional performers/composers, or those with innovative themes. The award also supports individual career development. The maximum funding available is €10,000, with an average grant of €6,000 in 2023.

Applicants funded by Strategic Funding or Arts Grants Funding must demonstrate that their project is additional to activities already supported by the Arts Council. Successful recipients are required to submit a detailed report on project completion.

Applications are to be submitted through the Arts Council’s online services website, where registration is necessary. The process includes downloading and completing the application form and any mandatory supporting materials. The deadline for submissions is 17:30, Thursday 15 February 2024.
