We’ve had an incredible year of music, with our very own Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra providing for many of the magical moments in opera and orchestral music on our stage. This Summer we’re going to be celebrating Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra, with a series of three concerts in June as part of Cork Midsummer Festival. Curated by Wayne Jordan (ProdiJIG, The Wizard of Oz), this promises to be the musical highlight of your Summer!

MIDSUMMER, on Friday 21st June, will be an evening of orchestral magnificence, conducted by award winning Cork composer John O’Brien celebrating music, light and life. The orchestra will perform music by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Vivaldi and more drawing from the theme of Midsummer and will explore how nature inspired these composers to write some of the most beautiful orchestral works.
