CASH RETURNS - Europe's number 1 Johnny Cash & June Carter show

Friday, 17 September 2021, 8.00pm

CASH RETURNS has been hailed hands down the greatest and most exciting Johnny Cash & June Carter Tribute in Europe by the Man in Black's fans everywhere. With a growing fan base across Ireland and the continent, they recently picked up 'Best Tribute Band' at the Hot Country Awards and 'Best Tribute Show' at the 2020 Northern Ireland Country Music Awards.

The show is fronted by the award winning JP Mac as Johnny Cash, whose baritone voice and tone is amazingly uncanny to the legend himself, with even an official accolade of support coming from Johnny Cash's very own drummer of almost 40 years, W.S (Fluke) Holland, who was completely blown away and regarded their tracks as 'quite amazing' on his radio show in Tennessee. 'Fluke' Holland has said: "If anyone hears JP Mac, they will know why he is an award-winning Johnny Cash act - I'd like to see this guy play in person."

JP is joined on stage by Karen Martin, playing the role of June Carter, who brings all the vibrancy and onstage sassiness of June herself, complete with fantastic vocals. Combined, JP and Karen along with their fantastic live band truly bring their audiences with them to a place and time when the iconic Cash & Carter reigned supreme.

Prior to Covid, CASH RETURNS had been playing in festivals and theatres throughout Europe for the past 7 years, while also having appeared on various radio slots BBC, RTE 1 and national TV appearances, RTE, TG4 & NVTV. The show has previously played to sell out audiences all over the UK, Ireland and Europe. You can expect to hear all the show stopping classics such as, 'Folsom Prison Blues', 'Get Rhythm', ' Walk the Line', 'Hurt' and of course the duo's hit 'Jackson'.

Limited tickets for this socially distanced live event are on sale Wednesday, August 18, at 10am and are available from Cork Opera House Box office at €26 plus booking fee.

This show is over 18s only and will be subject to any public health guidelines in place at the time of the event. It is part funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media through the Live Performance Support Scheme.
