Area Leader in Creative Musicianship and Improvisation

The Royal College of Music in London is hiring an Area Leader in Creative Musicianship and Improvisation.

You will be an experienced creative practitioner, ideally a composer and/or classical improviser, with outstanding communication skills. You will have substantial previous experience of undergraduate teaching and assessment in musicianship, stylistic composition, analysis, and/or tonal improvisation. In addition, you will be confident using technology in innovative ways to support student learning.

You will understand diverse student needs and be able to devise engaging and inclusive learning activities for students at different levels.

Working in collaboration with the other Area Leaders and the Heads of Programmes, you will make an important contribution to teaching and curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
