Tunes for Toddlers

Tunes for Toddlers

Saturday, 22 February 2020, 4.00pm

These early-years music classes use singing, movement, and play to teach toddlers age 2-4 the fundamentals of music. Sessions are led by the always-lovely Sophie Lee, whose friendly approach and research-backed format is inspired by the Kodály Method and Orff Approach.

Studies have demonstrated the wide-ranging benefits that music-making can have for toddlers and parents together, from learning and developmental benefits, to enhancing social skills, parent-child bonding, and improving well-being.

Classes use fun and play to build the very beginnings of a solid musical foundation in tots so they are ready and enthusiastic for more musical training when the time comes—the perfect stepping-stone to pre-instrumental classes at the Royal Irish Academy of Music or simply a lifelong love of music!
