Golden Age Tango Therapy

Golden Age Tango Therapy

Friday, 17 January 2020, 7.00pm

Tango Therapy is a pleasant activity and a technique, facilitating personal growth and long term positive change. Tango was born as a social dance in Argentina and Uruguay over 100 years ago by immigrants, many of whom were Irish. The unique Tango embrace, which reminds of the caring arms of a mother, and many other attributes of Tango are invaluable when dealing with many life challenges.

Through Tango we master the art of living in the here and now, self awareness and awareness of others. We learn to connect, accept without commitment and give without expectations, cooperate and co-create, rather than manipulate. Tango teaches us to make decisions and accept responsibility for the outcomes. What we learn on the dance floor accompanies us in all areas of life. If you can walk, you can dance Tango. Tango is a Story. Tell your own through Tango.
