BBC is hiring a Content Editor for Radio 2 and 6 Music.

The successful candidate will lead the teams working on programmes, sourcing new talent, as well as working towards winning new business for BBC Audio and developing external and internal partnerships within the North West. The successful candidate will have demonstrable links to culture, entertainment and music within the north west and be brimming with ideas to bring back to programming and events.

The successful candidate will also work alongside the BBC Audio North team and will be based in Salford.

This role will be the creative, editorial and managerial lead for BBC Audio programmes across the Radio 2 and 6 Music schedule. You’ll be supporting the Senior Head of Production but also working closely with the Heads of 6 Music and Radio 2 to deliver compelling, ambitious and distinctive content. You should have relevant experience in the music or media industry, demonstrate a passion and editorial understanding of the music played, a track record of successfully pitching for new business and delivering big impact ideas.
