Applications are invited for the position of Marketing Officer with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

The Marketing Officer will play a key role in supporting the Marketing Team to realise its audience development and income targets. A creative individual with a passion for live music, you will be responsible for implementing innovative marketing campaigns to promote the RSNO and its activities both online and offline.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support the RSNO Marketing Team to ensure audience development and income targets are achieved.
2. In conjunction with the Head of Marketing and Senior Marketing Officer, develop, implement and review innovative marketing campaigns to maximise sales/participation and communicate the brand.
3. Develop group sales, researching potential audiences and targeting with appropriate incentives to encourage group attendance at RSNO performances.
4. Take ownership of the RSNO’s e-newsletters and produce stimulating, relevant communications to targeted and segmented audiences.
5. Write effective copy for both marketing and development needs, ensuring approval is received from the relevant internal parties.
6. Assist with creating engaging content for online channels, including the website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
7. Assist the Marketing Team with the day-to-day management of RSNO digital channels, including the website, RSNO App and social media channels.
8. In conjunction with the Graphics & New Media Designer, produce free flysheet programmes for concerts in the New Auditorium (e.g. Chamber Series and Symphony, Soup and a Sandwich).
9. In conjunction with the Information Services Manager, run phone campaigns to reactivate lapsed subscribers/Circle members.
10. Arrange printing, distribution and mailings, in conjunction with other members of the department, for all RSNO materials.
11. Maintain and develop relationships with current and potential RSNO concert programme advertisers.
12. Assist with the promotion and development of the RSNO Season Pass, a ticket scheme for 26-35 year olds.
13. Assist with proofreading throughout the organisation, ensuring that internal proofing processes are adhered to.
14. Promote and protect the brand of the RSNO both externally and internally, ensuring that RSNO brand values and messages are accurately represented on all RSNO materials.
