The Santa Rita Concerts: Landless

The Santa Rita Concerts: Landless

Wednesday, 20 March 2019, 7.00pm

Landless are Lily Power, Meabh Meir, Ruth Clinton and Sinead Lynch. Formed in 2013 and based in Dublin and Belfast, they sing unaccompanied traditional songs in four-part harmony and are part of a hugely exciting new wave of young Irish folk musicians. Their highly-anticipated debut album Bleaching Bones was released in March 2018 to critical acclaim.

See them perform at the Santa Rita Concerts in the resonant, candlelit beauty of the gallery space in The Little Museum of Dublin on Wednesday, 20 March.

“Landless take traditional Irish songs and melodic conventions, and with the power of four-part unaccompanied vocal harmonies, absorb facets of the avant-garde, droning, ethereal qualities of the most forward-thinking music of our era.” – The Thin Air

The Santa Rita Concerts provide a unique, deeply immersive audience experience. Each evening begins at 7pm with a Santa Rita wine tasting, and a fireside interview with the artists. The performances take place at 8pm in the museum’s beautifully resonant downstairs gallery. The space is candlelit and the atmosphere highly intimate – a concentrated ritual shared by performer and audience.
