Wigmore Hall is recruiting for a creative and experienced Press Officer, to work flexibly and collaboratively with Wigmore Hall’s Director and external PR consultant in delivering positive media coverage for the Hall.
Working alongside Wigmore Hall’s Marketing Department, the successful candidate will support the delivery of media coverage of the Hall’s artistic programme – the UK’s largest classical music series – as well as raising the media profile of Wigmore Hall’s award-winning Learning programme.
This new role requires someone with experience of implementing creative media campaigns in the arts and generating media coverage, as well as experience and knowledge of the UK classical and contemporary music sectors and their associated repertoire.
Duties of the role include working with Wigmore Hall’s Director and external PR consultant to implement creative and effective media strategies to promote Wigmore Hall concerts, and securing news stories, opinion pieces, features, reviews, listings and other editorial coverage in a wide variety of publications, broadcast and digital media that cover classical, contemporary music and Learning.
