The Senior Manager role is essential for the smooth-running of some of Disney Theatrical Productions’ major musicals in the West End and on Tour in the UK and Ireland.

This position supports and covers all areas of the General Manager, Production’s duties and the Deputy General Manager, Production as required. The role reports into the General Manager, Production and to covers GM’s holidays and absences as necessary.

Day to day running of the productions encompasses a high volume of often fairly intense people management, alongside the need for strong negotiation skills to manage internal and external contacts covering such areas as; union negotiations, cast and crew employment, housing bids, rehearsal venue hire etc. This role also handles the performance and development of staff both individually and in teams – all to ensure that the shows perform at a high level.
THE LION KING employs children as performers and this role is the named licensee holder for all children employed on both productions (full breakdown of responsibilities below). The Senior Manager, Production has financial responsibility for the production budget of the shows the role
