Music for Me Internship

Music for Me Internship

Friday, 1 November 2019, 5.00pm

Waltons New School of Music is currently seeking one or two interns to work with our Music for Me pre-instrumental music programme for children aged 3-4, 4-5 and 5-6. These internships are open to students currently enrolled as undergraduates in music or music education programmes in Ireland.

If chosen for this opportunity, interns will work alongside and under the supervision of the Music for Me teacher on an ongoing basis, developing their teaching skills and classroom management techniques. They may also have the opportunity to work with teachers and/or facilitators in the New School’s Outreach Programme. Although the internships are unpaid, they are a valuable opportunity to gain experience in music education for children.

Prospective interns should be available to assist with Music for Me classes on several Saturdays mornings from October to April, with the possibility of extending this to our Move Your Feet & Sing to the Beat classes from April to June 2020. Those accepted for internships will be Garda vetted by the New School, if they have not already been vetted through their degree programme.

All applications must include:
An up-to-date CV.
A letter explaining why you would like to intern with our Music for Me Programme.
The names, email addresses and phone numbers (preferably mobiles) of at least two references.

See link below for further details.

N.B No deadline specified.
