Irish National Opera: ‘Sing William Tell’ for World Opera Day 2022

Tuesday, 25 October 2022, 8.15pm

Join Irish National Opera for Sing William Tell a special performance to mark World Opera Day 2022. Led by Artistic Director, Fergus Sheil and vocal expert and international opera singer, Imelda Drumm, 100 singers will have an opportunity to sing a rarely heard vocal version of the famous William Tell overture, as well as another chorus from Act 3 of the opera. There will be a rehearsal on Monday 24 October where we’ll explore Rossini’s wonderful score. ‘Sing William Tell’ will culminate in a livestreamed performance with full orchestra from Dublin Castle on World Opera Day October 25th . This opportunity is open to individual singers and choirs.

Day 1 Rehearsal: Monday 24th October | Time: 7.30-9.30pm | Venue: Dublin Unitarian Church, 112 Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2 

Day 2 Livestreamed Performance: Tuesday 25th October | Time: 8.15-9.30pm | Venue: Hibernian Hall, Dublin Castle, Dame Street, Dublin 2
