Penguin Random House Ireland is hiring an Editorial Assistant to join the thriving editorial team.

In this entry level role you will be responsible for providing support to the editorial team whether it be administrative or undertaking tasks to help facilitate the smooth running of the list. You can expect to be seeing manuscripts through production, managing metadata, working on briefs, blurbs, marketing materials, contracts and permissions as well as some general office admin.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills. An ability to write clearly and fluently is essential. Other requirements include a precise eye for detail and an ability to work to deadlines when under pressure. The role requires the ability to manage many different tasks, excellent time management and a confident and professional approach when liaising with a wide range of people.

This is a superb opportunity to gain an insight into the editorial process as a whole, and experience on a wide range of books. If you are able to work efficiently and accurately within a fast-paced and stimulating environment, then we want to hear from you.

Penguin Random House Ireland publishes no more than 30 new titles a year. We select, edit and promote each book with the love and care of a small press while being backed up by the immense resources of Penguin Random House UK. We are here to help great writers tell their stories to the world and our record of publishing bestsellers, prize-winners and new discoveries is unmatched.

If you’d like to be a part of our story, please apply with a CV and cover letter by 26th Feb. As well as your cover letter, please tell us about your favourite books published in the last 12 months and what made them stand out (no more than 300 words).

We are currently working remotely, but expect this role to transition back into our Dublin office when we are able. All interviews will be conducted over video call.
