The Stinging Fly is inviting applications for its 2025 Entry-Level Fiction Workshops, designed for early-stage writers. The workshops will take place in person at the Irish Writers Centre in Dublin from 30 June to 4 July, and online from 7 to 11 July.

Workshops will be led by authors Sheila Armstrong, Olivia Fitzsimons, Maame Blue, and Danielle McLaughlin. Each session will focus on writing exercises, idea generation, and aspects of fiction craft. Participants must submit one to two pages of a short story as part of their application.

Tuition fees are €450 for in-person workshops and €375 for online workshops, with concession rates available. A limited number of free places are offered to applicants on low incomes. Applications are open until 2 April 2025.
