The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is seeking a Head of Doctoral Programmes for a 0.8FTE fixed-term position. The role involves overseeing the institution’s doctoral research strategy, managing admissions, doctoral training, and student progression. The postholder will work closely with the Director of Research and contribute to external partnerships and funding development.

Applicants should have significant experience in programme leadership and an internationally recognised research profile. The successful candidate will supervise doctoral students and support interdisciplinary research across music disciplines, including music psychology, education, and artistic practice.

The salary ranges from £57,422 to £62,728 per annum (pro rata: £45,937 to £50,182). Applications must be submitted online by 12:00 noon on 3 April 2025. Interviews will be held on 11 April 2025.
