The Sea and Me @MusicTown 2021

Saturday, 24 April 2021, 3.00pm

This video project features a new piece composed by Andy Smith and Zeca Munhoz, The Sea and Me. It is inspired by a spiritual song by Uvavnuk (a native Canadian shaman). The bossa nova style harmony is played on guitar by Zeca and the vocal is by Marion Smith and Sean Sheekey.

The Music Together Band – made up largely of musicians with disabilities – will add inspiring additional entertainment. The programme also features a song by the legendary Alison O’Donnell, low whistle by Don MacDonald, traditional dance by Lara Murray, a performance by Alan Hurst on Zeca’s new adaptive app and a tale of the sea by Welsh storyteller Guto Dafis.
