Bassoon Teacher (Historical Performance)
The Royal Academy of Music seeks to appoint an experienced Events Technical Manager to join the Estates team. You will lead a small team and be responsible for technical and customer-facing services for events and activities at the Academy. The focus of the role is to co-ordinate set-up requirements for events and activities by liaising with different departmental staff, as well as ensuring that the staffing and customer service requirements for Stage Manager operations at events are met and implemented to an exemplary standard.
The successful candidate will have previous stage management and events experience along with knowledge of orchestral layouts and specialist instruments, previous experience of events setup, the ability to manoeuvre large, heavy and valuable instruments and furniture. You will be friendly, approachable and with excellent customer service with the ability to lead and keep calm under pressure. The enthusiasm to work as part of a small team and a make a difference are also essential.
