The Royal Academy of Music is seeking a part-time Harp teacher for a fixed-term of one year, with possible renewal. Effective from September 2023, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one Harp tuition to undergraduate and postgraduate students and running the contemporary music course.

The Harp department is collaborative with an international reputation, and many outstanding performers of the current generation studied here. The department encourages students to be versatile, creative, and professional across a range of artistic possibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised profile as a national and/or international performer with a thorough knowledge of a wide range of repertoire, both solo and orchestral, and knowledge of contemporary harp repertoire. They should have previous experience of teaching in a conservatoire environment, possess technical expertise and excellent communication skills, and be flexible, practical, collaborative, and well organised.

Interviews for the Harp teacher position are expected to take place at the Academy in the week commencing 31 May 2023.
