ZVUKEE No. 4

ZVUKEE is a series of performances, films & talks by artists who work with self-acquired sounds, field recordings and noises gathered from the seen and hidden world around us. It is curated by artist Natalia Beylis as part of her 2019 residency at The Dock.

EIMEAR REIDY PRESENTS ‘GROUNDLESS’

This is a set of three pieces for solo cello and pre-recorded cello and sounds from Cork City.
The work reflects on the fundamental groundlessness of being human and how we encounter that in our daily existence.

Eimear Reidy has performed throughout Europe with Capella Cracoviensis, the Irish baroque orchestra, the RTE concert orchestra, Il Concerto Barocco, Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, et al. Recently Eimear has also collaborated with artists such as Robert Curgenven, The Quiet Club and GaitKrash theatre ensemble.

ELAINE HOWLEY & NATALIA BEYLIS WILL PERFORM A SPECIAL ONE-OFF COLLABORATION USING CASSETTE TAPES / VOCALS / ELECTRONICS

Elaine Howley is best known for her dreamy vocals with Altered Hours (check out their latest releases on Art for Blind Records & Penske Recordings for a taste of their psychy hypnotic songs). Howley is also one-third of Crevice: a collaborative exploration in sound with Roslyn Steer and Irene Buckley. Crevice's bewitching debut album, In Heart, came out on Fort Evil Fruit. If that wasn't enough, Howley also plays in Morning Veils as well as Howlbux and has a monthly radio show over on Dublin Digital Radio.
