From Janice Chapman’s Fourth Edition of Singing and Teaching Singing - A Holistic Approach to Classical Voice.

In the beautiful setting of the Irish Institute of Music and Song, Balbriggan, the Singing & Teaching Singing Summer Course lead by Janice Chapman will run from  August 10th – 14th 2023. The course focuses on Janice Chapman’s scientifically validated pedagogy as explored in the Fourth Edition of her book Singing and Teaching Singing – A Holistic Approach to Classical Voice. It will also focus on how to practically use the SATS model to develop your own vocal technique and performance skills. Each of the exercises in the SATS book and Classical Voice Training Workbook, will be explained in depth and all participants will be led through the exercises.

Teachers who sing will be able to take part in our vocal masterclasses. There will also be the opportunity for participants to take part in teaching and diagnostic masterclasses where they can teach in a supportive environment and receive mentoring from our specialist team. Classical Voice Training will also provide students for teachers to work with throughout the course.One to One sessions will be offered (subject to availability) as either singing lessons or teacher mentoring sessions.

The SATS Practical course is the perfect way to explore and develop your technique to inform your artistry as a performer in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

• Course Only Option - €1,210

• Course, Catering & On-Site Accommodation - €2,218

Participants must submit a €200 deposit to secure their place. The remaining course fee can be paid in full or in instalments.
