London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) invites applications for Co-Principal Trombone (35 % contract). The musician will undertake around 35 % of engagements in the Principal Trombone chair and other section roles. Applications must be submitted through Musicalchairs by 22:59 GMT on Sunday 13 July 2025. First- and second-round live auditions are scheduled in London during late August and September 2025, both rounds on the same day; full requirements will be issued after the closing date. Candidates travelling from beyond Europe may request a video audition, considered case by case. Due to visitor visa rules, applications from visa-national countries cannot be accepted. Short-listed players will be offered trial periods with the Orchestra.
