Campfire Club: Green Ribbons, Catherine Rudie

Saturday, 24 July 2021, 7.00pm

Green Ribbons: A project dedicated to the celebration of unaccompanied song.

The current line-up features Debbie Armour (Burd Ellen), Frankie Armstrong, Alasdair Roberts and Benjamin Webb (Jinnwoo, Bird in the Belly).

Catherine Rudie is a Scottish singer-songwriter living between London and Glasgow. She is a past recipient of the Scottish Burns Song Award and in 2019 she was chosen by BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction as ‘One to Watch’. Her debut album ‘The Mobius Kiss’ was created by combining modern experiences and experimental electronic instrumentation with Catherine’s musical background in the remote North Coast of Scotland, playing the bagpipes in a community pipe band and singing traditional acapella Gaelic songs at local events. These contrasts define her unique sound.
