Gaia, the Greek Mother Earth goddess is the inspiration for new works by three female composers - Laura Bowler, Deirdre McKay and Carmel Smickersgill, celebrating our natural world and exploring the issues facing it through the combination of soprano and flute. This showing will allow audiences to delve into the exciting work of contemporary creativity, by experiencing a first iteration of the works following an initial 3-day residency developing the new commissions.
