BBC Singers: Odes to the World at St George’s Bristol
The BBC Singers make a welcome return to St George’s for a sublime evening of choral music with a focus on the best of British contemporary composers, including Judith Weir, Master of the King’s Music and James Macmillan.
The focus of the programme will be extracts from John Tavener’s seminal Veil of the Temple, which was first performed 20 years ago originally as an all-night vigil of spiritual splendour.
This concert will be recorded by BBC Radio 3 for later broadcast.
