This 4-week course is ideal for primary school teachers, engaging parents with a music background, as well as community-based musicians who are interested in creating and managing their own Junior Music Ensemble or Primary School Music Project.

In a step-by-step approach, course participants will explore new tools and learn the skillset required to bring music projects to life in your local classroom.

Topics will include:

· Starting an ensemble (funding, venues, instruments)

· Proven teaching strategies that inspire students

· Conducting with confidence

· Effective classroom management techniques

· Creating engaging and enjoyable rehearsals

· Networking with other junior performance groups

Course Period: Sunday 11th May to 1st of June (4 weekly sessions)

Time: Sundays 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Venue: Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin 2
