Youth Action Northern Ireland is hiring a Youth Arts Coordinator.

Main areas of responsibility
– Recruit young people into Rainbow Factory School of Perfroming Arts, to increase number of classes (aiming for cross community/ gender balance).
– Organise and manage Rainbow Factory summer projects and events
– Train and coach young people in arts related disciplines in a professional and encouraging manner.
– As tutor, lead classes and workshops in the Rainbow Factory.
– Recruit and support young people to succesfully complete YouthAchievement Awards for their volunteering and involvement in Rainbow Factory.
– Through training and ‘on job’ experience, develop technical theatre skills such as lights, sound, rostrum, curtains and stage management.
– Production management- assist with productions as production manager, to organise events such as stage management, sourcing props, managing dressing rooms, communicating with cast and crew, leading a team of young volunteers, managing bookings etc.

Essential skills and attributes:
– Third level qualification or equivalent in performing arts based discipline
– Professional experience as tutor/facilitator of young people
– Proven ability to organise effectively and manage projects
– Strong team member
– Professional experience in the arts
– Ability to work on own initiative
