The National Symphony Orchestra partners with Irish Youth Musical for a concert performance of Evita, lyrics by Tim Rice, and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Originally Directed by Harold Prince, arrangement by The Really Useful Group Ltd.Evita in Concert will be led by the West End creative team of conductor John Rigby and the Donegal born Artistic Director of Irish Youth Musical Theatre and fast-rising director in the London theatre scene, Séimí Campbell. Almost thirty years on from her West End success in the title role, ‘First Lady of Irish Musical Theatre’, Rebecca Storm, returns to the balcony as Eva Peron, sharing the role, by special agreement from Andrew Lloyd Webber, with three other young actors in training.

These young actors will be cast by Irish Youth Musical Theatre as part of a nationwide casting call to young actors aged 14 to 24 years from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. As part of IYMT’s summer training programme, young performers will receive coaching from the industry’s leading creatives, and an opportunity to perform with the National Symphony Orchestra. Other roles to be cast include Ché, Magaldi, Juan Peron, and Mistress, plus a featured ensemble.
