BBC Radio 1Xtra is hiring a Producer.

BBC Radio 1Xtra champions the best in new black music including R&B, afrobeats, hip hop, drill, grime, dancehall and more, from brand new artists to established names for a young UK audience. The network provides support for the UK music scene and new UK music acts. The station’s presenters and contributors are the voice of the Black British experience. 1Xtra is more than a radio station, producing special content for social accounts, Youtube, BBC iplayer and BBC Sounds, as well as major live music events and community outreach sessions.

Working closely together with Radio 1 and Asian Network, these stations look to connect the BBC with the next generation of young audiences and be the leading voice in young UK culture.

The successful candidate will be working predominantly on 1Xtra programmes, but may also be required to work across the wider Radio 1, 1Xtra, and Asian Network production unit.
