Ardú, one of Ireland's most innovative vocal ensembles presents an uplifting and eclectic programme of vocal music, with each piece inspired by the events of 2020.

Featuring the Irish premiere of The Prophet by English composer Alexander L'Estrange as well as music spanning centuries from composers such as Johannes Brahms, Andre Kim Arnesen, Rosephanye Powell and Kerry native Criostóir Ó Loingsigh.

The concert will be broadcast from St Kevin's Oratory, within the historic grounds of St. Mary's Pro Cathedral in Dublin. VIP ticket holders will gain exclusive access to the concert programme, video introductions by the composers and an extra encore, arranged by Music Director Ciarán Kelly.

2020 will forever be remembered for the global COVID-19 pandemic, the murder of George Floyd inspiring an international Black Rights Matter movement, Brexit and gender equality high on political, social and media agendas. As we look forward with optimism for a brighter 2021, we are reminded of the work of Kahlil Gibran, whos work The Prophet discusses topics around the human condition, love, pain, religion, freedom and death. The words of Gibran are brought to life further by the writing of Alexander L'Estrange, who has set three chapters to music for eight voices.
