In the 1970s nobody in Ireland personified the raw energy of rock, blues and soul music like Rob Strong, who was once offered the chance of joining the world famous Deep Purple band! Rob also performed for over 20 years (before Covid-19) at the Cork Jazz Festival where he built up a large local following.

Rob’s son, Andrew Strong, starred as ‘Deco Cuffe’ in the smash hit movie THE COMMITMENTS IN 1991 and toured with the world famous Rolling Stones, Elton John and Prince.
