Opera North has vacancies for three Sopranos, one Tenor 1 and one Bass 2, based in Leeds and on tour, and which are offered on a permanent basis commencing in August 2022.

In addition to their ensemble performances in Opera North’s productions, chorus members have excellent opportunities to perform and cover principal roles alongside their chorus work. Outside the standard operatic and concert repertoire, the dramatic strength and musical flexibility of the chorus of Opera North has been fundamental to the development of the Company’s education work as well as productions of a wide range of musical theatre masterpieces, including Into the Woods, Street Scene, Kiss Me, Kate, and A Little Night Music.

Roles and covers are auditioned each season according to the repertoire and suitability of choristers in the full-time chorus.

Salary: c. £26,235-£31,335 per annum
