RIAM Philharmonia/ Irish Baroque Orchestra Side-by-Side Project
Christian Curnyn, conductor

For their first public performance before an audience since March 2020, the spirited members of the RIAM Philharmonia welcome conductor Christian Curnyn and members of the Irish Baroque Orchestra for a genuinely collaborative side-by-side project exploring period style through a programme of boundless joie de vivre.

Performed in the magnificent setting of DCU’s All Hallows Chapel, the programme features a charming suite of dances and airs from Rameau’s last opera, Les Boréades, alongside Haydn’s final symphony, the crowning achievement of the composer’s symphonic output.

PROGRAMME

Rameau: Suite from Les Boréades

Haydn: Symphony No 104 in D major, Hob I:104 “London”

Presented in partnership with the Irish Baroque Orchestra
Sponsored by the John Pollard Foundation
