Yoth Iria one and only show in Dublin

Friday, 25 November 2022, 6.30pm

For the first time ever Greek black metal band Yoth Iria will land their feet on Irish shore for one and only show in Dublin. Yoth Iria's music is dark, diabolical and powerful which ties original occult black metal with modern approach and a look into the future.

Yoth Iria was founded in 2019 by Jim Mutilator and The Magus. Both are pioneers and developers of the greek black metal scene back in the 90’ties.

Jim was a founding member of Rotting Christ as well as their first bassist. Apart from this he was also the first bassist in Varathron. During this time he was part of Rotting Christ’s “Thy Mighty Contract” and Varathron’s “His Majesty at the Swamp” records, which are the two most iconic and defining Hellenic black metal albums until today.

The Magus is a musician and producer, mostly known in black and death metal scenes. He collaborated with bands such as Necromantia, Rotting Christ, Thou Art Lord and many more and is credited for shaping the ”Hellenic sound” of black & death metal.

In 2020 Yoth Iria’s debut EP, “Under His Sway” was released, which is described as classic Hellenic style that speaks gently of modernity, but screams of a time in the early 90’s when soulful recordings with lyrical themes detailing romantic satanism were the driving forces behind the music.

One year later, Yoth Iria released their debut full-length studio album “As the Flame Withers” via Pagan Records. The album was recorded at Pentagram Studio with George Emmanuel (Ex-Rotting Christ, Lucifer’s Child) responsible for engineering and taking on guitar duties. This album is described as a place where tradition, heritage and a warmth for Satan can all be found.

As Yoth Iria says themselves: “Fasten your seatbelts, the time has come. Prepare yourself for the purest of Metal, the darkest of Magic and a hell of our Freedom.”

Yoth Iria will be supported by Superstatic, the band which incorporates horror elements into their Death/Doom music making you shiver, whereas the opener Old Season will offer a Epic/Melodic sound gently preparing you for what has to come.

A night to not be missed for those who are into the occult/ black/ powerful metal! \m/
