Poetry Ireland is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team. This vital role is ideal for an experienced individual with a deep commitment to the cultural sector, particularly in poetry. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Director to ensure excellence in governance and the effective running of the organisation’s values, programmes, strategic developments, and operations.

The Operations Manager will oversee a range of responsibilities, including the implementation and management of poetry event programmes, promoting Poetry Ireland, assisting in corporate governance, managing human resources functions, and overseeing the organisation’s financial operations. A key part of this role is the planning and execution of the relocation to the newly refurbished Poetry Ireland House in Parnell Square, Dublin, anticipated by late 2024/early 2025.

Candidates should have significant experience in operational management, preferably in the cultural sector, and exhibit strong leadership, people management, and financial planning skills. Proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office, is essential. A passion for poetry and commitment to the organisation’s values of diversity, equality, and inclusion is highly desirable.

This full-time position offers a salary of €50,000 per annum, 25 days of annual leave, and additional discretionary holidays. While the role is primarily based in Dublin, there is flexibility for some remote working.
