Creative Communities Grant Scheme 2024
Cork City Council announces the Creative Communities Grant Scheme 2024, funded by Creative Ireland. This initiative aims to financially support community groups collaborating with artists and creatives to foster culture and creativity. The scheme encourages projects that not only expand the capacity of individuals and communities but also create positive social and economic impacts.
Applicants are invited to propose projects that align with at least two of the five strategic priorities outlined in the Cork City Culture & Creativity Strategy 2023–2027. These priorities include storytelling, enriching a sense of place, supporting creative industry and risk-taking, promoting well-being through creative engagement, and climate action.
The deadline for submissions is 12pm on 28 February 2024, with funding decisions to be announced in early March. Projects must be delivered by early November 2024. Grant amounts range from €1,500 to €3,000, although awarded funding may be less than requested.
Assessment criteria include creative merit, strategic alignment, feasibility, and potential legacy. Applications must include details of at least one creative practitioner or organisation, along with relevant documentation such as CVs and samples of previous work.
