PERFORM_LIVE Festival

Thursday, 24 March 2022, 10.15am

Book now for PERFORM_LIVE, the first festival-conference of Music Performance Research in association with the National Concert Hall, at the Kevin Barry Room, 24-27 March 2022. Each day features superb Irish and international artists performing and discussing their work in a wide range of genres – all sessions are aimed to appeal to a wide and general audience.

Find out how composers, conductors and cross-disciplinary collaborators engage with the creative process, and hear little-known and neglected repertoires along with experimental presentations in new and novel formats. Other highlights include a round table discussion on evaluating and disseminating Performance Research presented in association with IMBAS, and the launch of the Performance Research Ireland book series based on a new concept which includes complementary audio-visual materials – the first of its kind in Ireland.

The two guest keynotes are delivered and performed by Dr. Anu Vehviläinen, Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, Finland and Professor David Horne, director of the HARP Hub, Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK. PERFORM_LIVE is directed by pianist and performance researcher, Professor Una Hunt and supported by Performance Research Ireland and Research at TU Dublin with funding from the Irish Research Council’s New Foundations scheme.
