Performance Examinations Coordinator

The Royal Academy of Music in London is hiring a Performance Examinations Coordinator.

You will be responsible for the management and scheduling of the Academy’s performance examinations in the form of technical tests, concertos, final recitals, end of year examinations and orchestral excerpts assessments. You will liaise with internal and external examiners, key Academy staff such as Heads of Departments, Estates, Department Administrators and students. You will provide appropriate guidance materials to relevant stakeholders in advance of the exams.

You will have responsibility for setting up undergraduate written examinations off-site, allocating elective choices for students and managing students who are on interruptions of study.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing a varied workload to tight timescales, including experience of complex timetabling procedures. Excellent administration skills, advanced IT and Microsoft Office skills, outstanding communication skills and excellent customer service are required.

A formal music qualification or good working knowledge of music and musical instrumentation is highly desirable.
