Thomas Adès Three Studies from Couperin
Ravel Piano Concerto in G major
Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique (from memory)

The National Concert Hall is pleased to present the Irish début of Aurora Orchestra, one of the most creative forces in classical music today. Under the visionary direction of Nicholas Collon, this electrifying orchestra combine rich musical experiences with a boundless appetite for adventure and a playful approach to presentation for the broadest possible audience.

In their first Dublin appearance, Aurora will perform colourful works by Thomas Adès and Maurice Ravel, alongside Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, inspired by the composer’s romantic infatuation with the Irish actress, Harriet Smithson. Uniquely, this performance by Nicholas Collon and this vibrant orchestra culminates with this fantastical work performed from memory.

Presented by NCH
Supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and The Irish Times as print media partner
