Sing Ireland looks to the future with the appointment of a new Chairperson

Sing Ireland wishes to appoint a new Chairperson of its Board of Directors. Applications are invited from individuals experienced in leading change and growth and who are interested in working with an organisation that is poised for significant growth and impact. This call looks for an individual with the commitment, qualities and attributes to effectively lead a dynamic cultural and arts charity that seeks to positively impact and change people’s lives through group singing.

Sing Ireland brings group singing and its many benefits to people throughout the island of Ireland. It is the national representative and advocacy body for choirs and singers and develops programmes to support and develop the group singing sector. Each person’s singing voice is innate and therefore, by providing access to high quality opportunities and by removing financial and cultural barriers to access, people benefit from its many life enhancing capabilities. In the coming years, there is an exciting opportunity to further develop group singing experiences for people right across Ireland and see a huge positive impact upon people’s lives. Now, perhaps more than ever before, people need arts and cultural experiences to give meaning and participative joy to their lives.

Sing Ireland seeks to appoint a dedicated Chairperson to support the board and executive to realise the highest vision for Sing Ireland’s success. With a new strategic plan and objectives as well as a strong executive team, this is an exciting time to join the board to shape Sing Ireland’s future.

The role of Chair is a voluntary, unpaid, non-executive appointment. The role requires a commitment of approximately one day per month, with the capacity to flex upwards should the need arise.
