Could you turn a book into a bestseller?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Communications Officer to join the Penguin Random House Ireland Communications team.

We are looking for someone who can bring campaigns to life, from planning through to execution with the utmost creativity across all media platforms.

We publish books across all markets and genres. We are literary and commercial; fiction and non-fiction; local and global. We have a fantastic and extensive portfolio of authors including Anne Enright, Donal Ryan, Liz Nugent, Roddy Doyle, Margaret Atwood, Marian Keyes, The Happy Pear, Ross O’Carroll-Kelly and Elizabeth Strout.

In your role, you’ll work closely and collaboratively within the publicity team, as well as with colleagues from across the business in sales, marketing, editorial and rights. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and running publicity campaigns and events, and you will work closely with authors to maximise their potential in everything they do. Identifying online audiences is a key part of the role, so experience in running successful social media campaigns is essential. Some weekend and evenings will be required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a good understanding of the media landscape and a keen interest in working on a wide range of books, both literary and commercial. You’ll need excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
