Editorial Assistant, Vintage (maternity cover)
VINTAGE are looking for a proactive Editorial Assistant to join our hardback team.
Reporting to the VINTAGE Publisher, you’ll provide general support across the editorial teams for VINTAGE’s fiction and non-fiction hardbacks. This is a varied and eclectic role; in addition to assisting the editors and the day-to-day workings of the office, some of your ongoing responsibilities will include:
– Entering books for literary prizes
– Liaising with all other publishing departments, external colleagues, and customers
– Reading unpublished manuscripts and writing reports
– Proofreading, editing, and writing copy about our books
– Assisting the rights and design teams in selling production materials to foreign publishers
– Suggesting a wide range of relevant authors, journalists, and influencers to be sent review copies of upcoming titles

– Confident at communicating (over email, phone, and in person)
