A chamber music concert with particular emphasis on the cello. Two quintets by the extravagantly gifted Boccherini and the sublime Schubert frame one of Mozart’s Prussian Quartets, written for the King of Prussia, himself a keen cellist.

Portumna Castle is an imposing structure that dates back to the seventeenth century. As a pre-concert event, here is a chance for those interested in exploring this structure to get an exclusive guided tour and talk about its long history
