During the pandemic, the Armagh Rhymers created a new hybrid performing approach to combine live performances with digital content aimed at schools and children. They now want to expand their team and are looking for professional performers, musicians, singers, storytellers, dancers and actors to join the talented pool of freelancers.

Performers of any style, tradition and background are welcome.

The ideal candidates will have excellent performance skills, a passion for sharing your art and collaborating with others, and a willingness to learn new skills and engage with a diverse range of people of all ages locally, nationally and internationally.

If successful, you’ll take on a range of rewarding and fulfilling work. The Armagh Rhymers perform for schools and community groups, tourism experiences, in libraries and museums, at weddings and celebrations as well as festivals and events all over the world.

The Armagh Rhymers are dedicated to supporting and developing our performers, offering a generous day rate and paid rehearsals.

Joining the core team of freelance musicians and performers you will have the opportunity to learn more about Mumming traditions, wear the famous Mummers Masks and preserve this ancient tradition for future generations.

The deadline for submissions is Monday 7th March, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to a recruitment workshop on 29th – 31st March at Aonach Mhacha, Armagh.
